Credit Check can now be augmented to include the Red Flag tests mandated under the Red Flags program*. Those tests include each of the following:

Check for a Passed Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
Applicant’s name and personal information is tested against lists of names and aliases of individuals, organizations and companies that the U.S. government has classified as potentially dangerous and a potential threat to national security.

Test of Social Security Number
The SSN given by the applicant is tested for the following scenarios:

• If SSN has not been issued
• If SSN has been issued to a deceased person
• If SSN has been issued prior to applicant's date of birth
• If SSN is associated with multiple last names or could belong to another person
• If the SSN, applicant's name, and address do not match

Applicant's Address
The address given by the applicant is flagged in the following instances:

• When applicant address does not match any addresses associated with consumer credit report
• When applicant address is not matched with applicant name according to other data sources
• When applicant address is high risk, such as P.O. box or prison address
• When applicant address is associated with fraudulent activity

Appplicant's Telephone Number
The applicant's telephone number is tested and flagged under any of the following conditions:

• When applicant’s phone number does not match phone numbers associated with the consumer credit report
• When applicant’s phone number does not match applicant name and address according to other data sources

Missing Information
A flag is raised when information required to run any of the above tests has not been included with the application.
